Hosts

Chrystene Hansen and Bill Bailey love sharing their rural Waikato space.

After moving to Karamu in 2002, they have developed a wonderful property with permaculture principles in mind. Apart from an ever burgeoning vege garden, Chrystene and Bill have a small flock of sheep, plantings of native trees, and an orchard.

When he's not in the garden, Bill works full time in Hamilton as a registered valuer. Chrystene manages the B&B / Retreat and is a therapist. She also cooks the meals with Bill’s very able support.

Chrystene is

  • a NZ Registered Nurse with a B.N. A.D.N.
  • an Holistic Health Practitioner with a Diploma in Body Mind Therapy
  • an accredited Journey Practitioner
  • a Full member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists

After many years of working in the public health sector, Chrystene realised a long held dream by creating Harmony Hours - a place that enables people to be in control of their own Journey in Wellness.
